Satinder Chohan is a journalist/documentary researcher turned playwright from Southall, West London. Plays include Zameen (Kali Theatre), KabaddiKabaddiKabaddi (Pursued By A Bear/Kali Theatre), Half of Me and Made in India (Tamasha Theatre) for which she received OffWestEnd.com’s Adopt A Playwright Award and an ACTA Award for Best Production. Audio dramas include Garlands (BBC Radio 3), Steam Rises (National Archives/Tamasha) and The Girl of Ink and Stars (Spark Arts). Satinder is currently developing Lotus Beauty for Hampstead Theatre, short film Bussing and received an Arts Council DYCP grant to begin Pind, a novel about Punjabi immigrants. She is a writer on the Sphinx 30 initiative, for which she has also been developing Empire of the Mind.
