Are you a South Asian woman with something to say through writing for performance?

Then Kali wants to hear from you. We are looking for original and innovative short and full length theatre scripts by South Asian women for our next writer development programme.

We are inviting writers and aspiring writers to send us a play.
From the scripts submitted, writers will be chosen to join Kali’s Writer Development Programme. This consists of 6 fortnightly writing workshops, discussions with guest writers & dramaturgs, 1-1 dramaturgical support and workshops with actors.
The programme culminates in public readings of selected works.

All submitted plays must be original and not previously published or performed professionally. They can be about any subject you want to explore.

They could be between approximately 30mins long. They must be capable of being presented by no more than 4 actors. We may choose to develop and present just a section of a full length script.

The submitted script must be in black sans- serif font of at least 12point, double spaced with page numbers and your  script title on each page.

Please DO NOT INCLUDE your name on any page.  The panel will read them without knowing who they are by.

Deadline: Scripts must reach Kali by 9am on xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
