Martha Pothen is a writer, actor and singer from Essex. She trained at the University of York (History BA) and The Royal Academy of Music (Musical Theatre MA). Martha’s credits as an actor include Predrinks/Afterparty at the Drayton Arms, Cold Feet and Bacon Sandwiches at the Hampstead Theatre, and most recently in The Visit at the Olivier Theatre, National Theatre.
Writing credits include: “Chip Butty Chapati” Kali Theatre Company, “For Jenny” Ideas Test, “Ah Good, The Sea”, PicNic Productions and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and “#blessed” Sands Film Studio. Martha’s main aim as a playwright is to weave humour and heart into every story she tells.
